Underwater Wreck Survey Details Position 51 3.3 N 1 32.027 E This historic shipwreck site located off the coast of the United Kingdom has been repeatedly surveyed and updated by the UK Hydrographic Office and Royal Navy vessels including HMS Bronington HMS Hecla and HMS Beagle. The submerged obstruction lies in a general water depth of approximately 49 to 50 meters. Comprehensive multibeam sonar examinations and hydrographic surveys define the structural dimensions of the wreck as approximately 44 meters in length, 11.7 meters in width, and standing 8.5 meters high above the seabed oriented along a 061/241 degree heading with the bow pointing toward 241 degrees. Modern multibeam echo sounder measurements confirm a least depth over the wreck of 41 meters. The site exhibits a strong magnetic anomaly indicating substantial metallic structure remaining on the seabed.
