The OAKBY wreck is a historically recorded underwater obstruction located in the English Channel near the coast of Kent, United Kingdom. Positioned at coordinates 51 2.883 N, 1 11.833 E, this site has been subject to multiple hydrographic surveys over the past century. While initially charted as a submerged wreck at a depth of 12.8 meters (7 fathoms) following observations in 1926, extensive search efforts conducted by the Royal Navy and modern survey vessels, including HMS Bulldog and Gardline in 2016, have failed to locate any structural remains. Due to repeated disproving surveys using advanced sonar and bathymetric data, the OAKBY is officially classified as non-existent at its previously reported position and has been removed from active navigation charts.
