Simplified Wreck Survey
The underwater wreck of the Nordland is located at coordinates 50 7.119 N, 4 58.263 W near St Anthony in approximately 50 meters of water. Originally sinking after being towed on February 13, 1983, the site was later investigated in 1997 when a wreck was discovered containing a compass of German manufacture, leading to its identification as the Nordland. Although subsequent search efforts by survey vessels in 1996, 1999, and 2013 failed to relocate the obstruction using modern multibeam sonar, historical records maintain the position of this notable marine casualty.
