Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck NILOUFAR is located in the Persian Gulf at coordinates 29 12.13 N, 49 52.04 E. Originally reported as a vessel sunk in approximately 125 feet of water, historical survey data indicates the craft was lying on its side with no part of the wreckage visible at low water. Following hydrographic reviews in 1998, the status of the NILOUFAR wreck was amended to dead. This underwater obstruction remains a known navigational feature in the region, identified by its historical survey reference H372/62.
