PASSAGE SUEZ AND FREETOWN FOR MANCHESTER IN CONVOY. WAS TORPEDOED AND SUNK BY U-509 200M NW OF THE CANARY ISLANDS. 19 MEN LOST. CARGO INCLUDED 1501 TONS COPPER.
