Simplified Wreck Survey

The underwater wreck known as the MORON is located at coordinates 37 16.4 N, 9 53.183 E in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Tunisia. Historical survey records previously identified the site by the presence of submerged masts marked by a green conical buoy. Following subsequent hydrographic surveys and the official Notice to Mariners 1310/48, the wreck of the MORON was designated as a dead or cleared obstruction. This site is no longer considered a navigational hazard for maritime traffic in the Mediterranean region.
