Simplified Wreck Survey
The wreck of the vessel Meredith A White was historically reported at coordinates 9 40 S, 47 37 E located in the Indian Ocean near the Seychelles. Although the Meredith A White was initially recorded as an underwater obstruction and wreck, subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted by the UK Hydrographic Office and HMS Owen failed to locate the wreckage at these coordinates. Following investigations, the wreck status was amended to dead and the hazard was removed from nautical charts in 1965. Consequently, there is no charted underwater obstruction, welded steel wreckage, or structural debris present at this position in the Indian Ocean.
