The wreck of the vessel Maruni Maru No 53 is a documented maritime obstruction previously located at coordinates 06 10.5 S, 159 23 E near the Roncador Reef in the Solomon Sea. Historically reported as a stranded vessel on the north side of Roncador Reef, the site was subject to multiple hydrographic surveys between 1973 and 1996. Following detailed maritime inspections in 1996, the wreck of the Maruni Maru No 53 was confirmed to have disappeared from the location with no remaining visual signs or radar returns detected during survey passes. The obstruction was subsequently removed from official nautical charts as of 1996.
