15.7.67 BUILT IN 1942. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY PROODOS CIA NAV SA. PASSAGE TAMPA FOR BOMBAY. HAD LEAKS IN FWD HOLDS AND WAS BEACHED AT BAHIA TARRAFAL, SAO TIAGO ISLAND ON 15.7.67. LATER REFLOATED AND TOWED TO PORTO GRANDE, ILHA DE SAO VICENTE AND ANCHORED. WHILE AT ANCHOR VESSEL ROLLED, FLOODED AND SANK TO BRIDGE LEVEL AND SOON AFTER WAS SET ON FIRE BY LOOTERS. DECLARED A CONSTRUCTIVE TOTAL LOSS. (MSD).
