The wreck of the vessel Mar Tres is located off the coast of Agadir, Morocco, at the coordinates 29 37 N, 10 2 W. The ship was originally reported in casualty off the coast of Aglon, south of Agadir, in October 1977. By November 1977, the vessel was confirmed aground approximately 5 kilometers south of Aglon and 125 kilometers from Agadir. The wreck lies on sandy ground and was initially described as only slightly damaged before being sold for scrap. Following failed salvage attempts, the Mar Tres remains a known underwater obstruction in this region of the Atlantic Ocean.
