Simplified Wreck Survey

The LOCH LOYAL is an underwater wreck and navigational obstruction located in the Moray Firth off the northeast coast of Scotland at coordinates 57 46.616 N, 2 37.312 W. Official hydrographic records note that a local fishing skipper first reported possible well broken welded steel wreckage in August 1986, prompting investigation by HMS Bulldog. A follow-up survey conducted by HMS Fox in December 1987 was unable to relocate the wreckage on the seabed.
