Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Llanishen is located in the North Sea off the coast of Scotland at coordinates 58 20.979 N, 2 32.098 W. Originally documented following a World War II sinking, the site was historically reported at varying positions including 58 17.000 N, 02 27.000 W and 58 21.000 N, 02 32.000 W. Although a 1978 survey identified a potential underwater obstruction at 28 meters depth, subsequent hydrographic investigations conducted in 2008 by Gardline failed to locate any wreckage at the charted position. Consequently, the Llanishen has been officially disproved as an active navigational hazard and the site status is amended to dead.
