Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck LINDFAR is located off the coast of England near the Gunfleet Sands in the North Sea at coordinates 51 47.031 N, 1 20.779 E. Historical hydrographic survey records from the UK Hydrographic Office note that the vessel aground on Gunfleet Sands orientated north to south with the bow facing south. Salvage attempts were abandoned, and reports indicated the vessel was breaking up in shallow shoal water.

H6338/87 16.9.88 NOT EXAM'D DUE PROXIMITY OF SHOAL WATER. RECOMMEND NCA. (NP 1016, HI 421).
