The shipwreck Lille Ethel is located in the waters of the Øresund sound between Denmark and Sweden, near Skanör, at coordinates 55 27.867 N, 12 39.133 E. Originally discovered and marked by buoyage following its loss, historical hydrographic surveys from the UK Hydrographic Office and Danish authorities initially recorded the obstruction at a depth of 10 meters. Subsequent records noted that the wreck was reported dispersed in 1972, though later chart updates and official evaluations in 2016 classified the site with a revised depth of 9.5 meters before ultimately marking the record as dead and removed from active charts.
