The wreck of the Lauran II is located in the Moray Firth off the coast of Scotland at coordinates 57 49.932 N, 3 9.075 W. This underwater obstruction, identified as a small sunken wreck, lies at a least depth of 82 meters in a general seabed depth of 84 meters. Survey data confirms the vessel is badly burnt and breaking up, measuring approximately 15 meters in length and 5 meters in width with a structural height of 2 to 3 meters above the seabed. The wreckage is oriented in a north-south direction and shows no evidence of seabed scour. Underwater television surveys conducted by HMS Cattistock verified the structural condition of the site, which remains a charted underwater hazard.
