10.1.1966 LIBERTY SHIP, BUILT 1943 BY OREGON SHIPBUILDING CORPORATION, PORTLAND OREGON. VESSEL DEVELOPED CRACKS IN MAIN DECK AND HULL IN STORMY WEATHER WHILE ON PASSAGE CASABLANCA TO PHILADELPHIA. VESSEL WAS ABANDONED BY 30 MAN CREW ON 10.1.1966 AND SANK SOME 600M ENE OF BERMUDA AFTER DRIFTING FOR 3 DAYS. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY PROTEUS SHIPPING CO. S.A. (MSD)
