EX-ITA '34, EX-ROSALEEN. BUILT IN 1908 BY DUBLIN DOCKYARD COMPANY, DUBLIN. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY MONROE BROTHERS, LIVERPOOL. ONE BOILER, COMPOUND EXPANSION ENGINE OF 87 NHP, SINGLE SHAFT. MACHINERY BY ROSS & DUNCAN, GLASGOW. PASSAGE BARRY FOR LIVERPOOL. SUFFERED RUPTURED PIPE IN THE ENGINE ROOM AND FLOODING EXTINGUISHED THE FIRES. DRIFTED TOWARDS ANGLESEY AND DROPPED BOTH ANCHORS. CREW RECOVERED BY THE HOLYHEAD LIFEBOAT. THE CABLES THEN PARTED, THE SHIP WENT ASHORE AND COMMENCED TO BREAK UP. (SIBI).
