Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Jota is located at coordinates 49 45.94 N, 1 12.08 W in the English Channel near the coast of France. Originally reported sunk in 1950, historical surveys recorded the non-dangerous wreck with a position approximate status before a 1990 French assessment estimated a clearance depth of 28 meters with an accuracy of one mile. The obstruction was subsequently not found during a 1993 survey and was officially expunged and amended to dead in hydrographic records.
