BECAME A STRAGGLER AND WAS TORPEDOED BY U-707. 18 MEMBERS OF CREW AND PASSENGERS WERE RESCUED AFTER 17 DAYS AND 5 OTHERS AFTER 41 DAYS IN A BOAT. (DODS, LLOYDS WAR LOSSES WWII, AXIS SUBMARINE SUCCESSES 1939-45).
