BUILT IN 1949 BY SMITH'S DOCK CO LTD, MIDDLESBROUGH. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY VIAGRANDE CIA NAV SA. WHILST AT ORMOS AYIAS ANNAS, NISOS MYKONOS, LOADING A CARGO OF BARYTES FOR PORT HARCOURT, WAS DRIVEN ONTO ROCKY COAST DURING EXTREMELY SEVERE WEATHER. DUE TO THE CONTINUAL BATTERING OF THE SEAS SHE EVENTUALLY BROKE IN TWO. CREW RECOVERED. (MSD).
