The shipwreck Inger Klit rests submerged in Flensburg Fjord along the western Baltic Sea near the German and Danish coastline, located at coordinates 54 48.96 N, 9 25.93 E. Sinking in 1980 at a depth between 26 and 28 meters, the vessel settled directly on the seabed. Following the incident, salvage crews cleared a portion of the cargo and cut away the mast to keep the primary shipping fairway to Flensburg open and safe for marine traffic. No additional salvage operations were undertaken, and subsequent hydrographic surveys eventually amended the wreck entry to dead, recording the site as cleared of navigational hazards.
