Simplified Wreck Survey
The shipwreck HULL TRADER is an underwater obstruction located off the coast of England in the North Sea at coordinates 53 10.835 N, 1 11.813 E. Originally located in 1941 as a wreck with two masts showing 12 feet above low water on an even keel in 10 fathoms, the site was later examined following dispersal operations. Historical surveys noted a least echo sounder depth of 52 feet and an Oropesa sweep clear at 49 feet before later being amended to a foul ground designation. A comprehensive multibeam survey conducted in March 2018 by Gardline confirmed the wreck is broken and partially buried in a general depth of 18 meters, with a least multibeam depth of 16.23 meters. The structural dimensions of the remains measure 61.3 meters in length, 16.1 meters in width, and 1.7 meters in height, oriented along a 107/287 degree axis. Additionally, a scour depression measuring 43.3 meters long and 1.7 meters deep extends toward 232 degrees. The site is currently charted as foul at a depth of 16.2 meters at the revised position.
