HMS J6 wreck location and surveying details. The shipwreck HMS J6 is located in the North Sea off the coast of Northumberland, England, at coordinates 55 41.692 N, 0 34.505 W. This underwater obstruction sits in a general depth of 61.9 meters with a least multibeam depth of 53.89 meters. The wreck is identified as a degraded vessel measuring 76 meters in length, 11 meters in width, and standing 8 meters high. The structural condition is reported as upright and intact, oriented on a 040/220 degree axis with the bow facing southwest. A 2.5-meter deep scour extends 10 meters from the southwest end of the wreck. This site was surveyed by Gardline Geosurvey under survey ID HI 1153. The wreck is charted as a 53-meter obstruction.
