21.11.14 BUILT IN 1913 BY A STEPHEN & SON, GLASGOW. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY ELDERS & FYFFES LTD. FOUR BOILERS, TWO TRIPLE EXPANSION ENGINES FOR 584 NHP, TWIN SHAFT. 2 X 6 INCH GUNS. HIRED FROM 21.11.14 AND CONVERTED INTO AN ARMED MERCHANT CRUISER. PASSAGE GLASGOW FOR LIVERPOOL. TORPEDOED BY U-27 AND SANK VERY QUICKLY. 195 OFFICERS & RATINGS LOST.
