(G MCCALLUM, LTR DTD 27.10.74). INS AS DW. BR STD. H1310/83/13 18.3.83 BOW SECTION OF OLD STEEL WK LYING INTACT & UPRIGHT AGAINST N SIDE OF PATTERSON'S RK IN GEN DEPTH 11MTRS. OTHER WRECKAGE IN VICINITY, BUT MAINLY BURIED IN SAND & GRAVEL SEABED. POSN 551705N, 053230W [OGB]. THIS IS REPORTEDLY WK OF THE NORSE. (SGT HARGREAVES, DTD 16.2.83). H2885/83 1.5.86 NO WK FOUND DURING CLOSE SOUNDING. AREA HEAVILY OVERGROWN WITH KELP. POOR VISIBILITY CAUSED BY OVERFALLS NEAR PATTERSON'S ROCK. (HMS BULLDOG, HI 165B). NCA. 4.11.04 EUT POSN: 5517.083N, 0532.497W. NE 2126. 18.3.10 WRECK IS WELL DISPERSED, PROBABLY DUE TO EXTENSIVE SALVAGE & ROUGH WEATHER. MOST STRIKING FEATURE IS HUGE BOILER, LYING IN 9MTRS, BUT THEREIS A LOT OF OTHER WRECKAGE SCATTERED AROUND.
