The Havsornen is an underwater shipwreck located in the English Channel off the northern coast of the Cotentin Peninsula near Cherbourg, France, at coordinates 49 40.44 N, 1 37.58 W. Maritime casualty records from Lloyd's report that the vessel sank on November 6, 1973, in the approximate position of 49°40'30"N, 01°37'30"W. Later hydrographic evaluations on May 6, 1988, noted that the obstruction was not recorded in the 1987 French wreck register nor charted on French nautical chart 7086. Today, the Havsornen remains documented as a submerged navigational obstruction in hydrographic archives, serving as a historical point of interest for divers, mariners, and researchers tracking shipwrecks in the English Channel.
