Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck Gibraltar is located in the North Sea off the coast of Rattray Head, Scotland, at the precise coordinates 57 43.985 N, 1 14.108 W. Historical survey records indicate the vessel was reported lost approximately 20 miles east-northeast of Rattray Head. Although early hydrographic reports initially identified the wreck as a non-dangerous obstruction with a position approximate (PA) in 1926, subsequent modern sonar surveys conducted in 2010 by Gardline Hydro failed to locate any structural remains on the seabed. Consequently, the wreck Gibraltar is currently classified as dead and removed from active navigational charts.
