BUILT IN 1942 BY WEST COAST SHIPBUILDERS LTD. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY MINISTRY OF WAR TRANSPORT (DODD THOMSON & CO). PASSAGE PORT SAID AND ADEN FOR DURBAN AND LAURENCO MARQUES. WAS TORPEDOED AND SUNK BY SUBMARINE BETWEEN THE ISLANDS OF MADACASCAR AND REUNION. (DODS; THE OCEANS, THE FORTS AND THE PARKS; LLOYDS WAR LOSSES WWII).
