Simplified Wreck Survey
The SS Finland is an historic shipwreck located near Ausskerry in the United Kingdom waters at coordinates 59 7.121 N, 2 19.27 W. Identified through marine surveys and historical records from Lloyd's List, this 85-meter long and 12-meter wide steel wreck lies upright though broken down on the seabed at a general depth of 73 meters, with a least multibeam depth of 66.9 meters. The structural description of the underwater obstruction confirms a length of 85.2 meters, a width of 12.1 meters, and a height of 6.57 meters, oriented on an 086/266 degree heading with its bow facing west and the western end collapsed alongside a 1.6-meter deep scour extending 150 meters. Divers have verified that the remains feature two boilers, a triple expansion engine, and a significant accumulation of trawl nets covering the site.
