Underwater wreck details for the vessel FERROLANO located off the coast of the Alboran Sea near Melilla. Historical survey records indicate the wreck was previously identified at coordinates 35 17.335 N, 2 55.133 W. Initial reports in 1958 identified the site as a dangerous wreck, later updated to a foul obstruction in 1964. By 1980, reports from local pilots questioned the existence of the wreck, noting it may have been buried in sand at a general depth of 12.5 meters. Following reports from local pilots in 1988 confirming the removal of the vessel, the site was classified as a non-dangerous wreck. Official hydrographic records from 1989 indicate that the wreck of the FERROLANO has been expunged from nautical charts and the status is officially recorded as dead/deleted.
