Simplified Wreck Survey
The Falcon wreck, located at coordinates 51 33.399 N, 1 5.164 E, is an underwater obstruction situated off the coast of Essex near the West Barrow Beacon in the North Sea. Originally reported as sunk in 1952, subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted between 1955 and 1990 by the UK Hydrographic Office, the Port of London Authority, and HMS Echo have consistently failed to locate any trace of the vessel using sonar and echo sounder equipment. The site has been thoroughly searched, confirming that the seabed is currently flat and clear of any structural wreck remains. Due to these repeated negative findings, the Falcon is no longer considered a navigational hazard in this region of the North Sea.
