Simplified Wreck Survey

Shipwreck details for the vessel EXPRESS located at 51 26.066 N, 1 3.531 E near the coast of Kent in the Thames Estuary. Historical survey records for the EXPRESS wreck indicate it was originally identified as a dangerous wreck with a mast. Following initial reports in 1943 and 1946 noting the mast was visible at low tide, the site was marked with a buoy. Subsequent surveys conducted on April 13, 1951, concluded that the wreck of the EXPRESS had been dispersed and the navigational buoy was withdrawn from the position. Despite being officially deleted from navigational charts, the position of the EXPRESS remained referenced in port authority records as late as 1984. This underwater obstruction site is situated in the Thames Estuary region, historically monitored for maritime safety.
