Simplified Wreck Survey

The historic yacht wreck of the Ericht is located off the coast of Brighton near the West Pier, at coordinates 50 48.002 N, 0 10.493 W in the English Channel. Originally reported sunk in November 1953 approximately 3 to 4 miles southwest of the Brighton West Pier, subsequent hydrographic surveys by the UK Hydrographic Office in 2001 and 2015 failed to locate the obstruction, leading to its classification as disproved and amended to dead with no further action required.
