Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction located at 59 48.76 N, 0 58.69 W in the North Sea east of the Orkney Islands. This subsea hazard consists of a 3.3 meter long section of steel drill string with a width of 0.2 meters and a weight of 300 kilograms. The debris is situated below the seafloor embedded in the mud and is not considered to pose a snagging risk to commercial fishing or maritime vessels. Data provided by UK Hydrographic Office and Kingfisher Bulletin 12/03 confirms the site is marked as foul on British Admiralty charts.
