Simplified Wreck Survey
The wreck of the vessel identified as the ENID is located in the North Sea, situated approximately 6 to 7 miles north of Muckle Flugga, Shetland. The underwater wreck is officially charted at the coordinates 60 57.38 N, 0 52.506 W. Following a detailed hydrographic examination, the wreck was found resting at a least depth of 95.5 meters within a general seabed depth of 106 meters. The submerged structure measures approximately 70 meters in length with a height of 8 meters, lying on a 040/220 degree orientation. Sonar traces suggest the presence of buoyant hawsers and fishing gear entangled at the bow and stern of the vessel. While historical reports initially placed the wreck in deeper water, current data confirms the depth as 95 meters. The site remains a documented underwater obstruction for maritime navigation in the waters north of the Shetland Islands.
