(HMS COCKADE, HN). INS AS WK 13FMS. BR STD. H4551/76 7.12.79 JAPANESE CARGO VESSEL LOCATED IN 062737N, 1061109E USING PULSE/8 [2 LOP]. COVERED BY VERY DENSE SHOAL OF FISH WHICH MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO OBTAIN LEAST E/S DEPTH, BUT PROBABLY STANDS 13MTRS HIGH IN GEN DEPTH 45MTRS. HEADING 060 DEGS. (RISDON BEAZLEY, 6.12.79 & TELECON 7.12.79). AMEND POSN. BR STD. H1310/83/38 12.10.83 WK IS PROBABLY THAT OF THE 'ENGIN MARU'. IT LIES ABOUT 2 MILES DUE E OF WHERE CHARTED. (P RICHARDS, 19.9.83). NFA. 26.7.84 SHOWN AS WK 24MTRS ON THAI 045 [1984]. 1.7.87 AMEND TO WK 23MTRS. NC 4508. H1310/88/33 29.6.88 WK, THOUGHT TO BE ENGEN MARU, LOCATED IN 063100N, 1061200E. TARGET LENGTH 130MTRS. STANDS 10MTRS ABOVE SEABED. (DON COX, O.P.E.C./VISAL TELEX 16.6.88). NCA. HH100/351/19 22.11.02 DIVED IN 0627.61N, 10611.21E [WGD] USING GPS. A VERY LARGE VESSEL TORN TO PIECES FOR ITS CARGO OF TIN. NO PART REMAINS IDENTIFIABLE. SOME LARGE PORTHOLES SEEN WHICH ARE TYPICAL OF JAPANESE CONSTRUCTION. GEN DEPTH 40-51MTRS. (V SKOGLIE, EMAIL DTD 19.11.02).
