Shipwreck details for the underwater obstruction named Empress of Japan possibly located at coordinates 55 2.198 N, 5 14.241 W. The site features a least multibeam depth of 82.37 meters within a general depth of 87 meters, resting on a mud bottom. The main structural description indicates a small wreck measuring 29.7 meters in length, 18.5 meters in width, and 4.6 meters in height, oriented at 91/271 degrees. The wreck is divided into two sections with the stern broken away and lying to the north of the fore section, both generally intact with a starboard list, accompanied by a possible ship boiler approximately 45 meters to the southeast and scour dimensions measuring 50 meters long and 2 meters deep.
