12.3.1941 BUILT IN 1940 BY LITHGOWS LTD. KINGSTON YARD, PORT GLASGOW. PASSAGE BALTIMORE FOR BARRY. EMPLOYED AS A MINISTRY OF WAR TRANSPORT. BOMBED AND DAMAGED BY GERMAN AIRCRAFT IN ST GEORGES CHANNEL ON 12.3.1941. TAKEN IN TOW BY THE DUTCH TUG SEINE. SHE WAS BOMBED AGAIN NEXT DAY AND SANK WITH THE LOSS OF 6 MEN. (WW2 SL & THE EMPIRE SHIPS).
