Simplified Wreck Survey
Underwater wreck site EMERGENCY located at coordinates 51 26.482 N, 0 55.765 E off the coast of the Thames Estuary is a historical maritime obstruction. The wreck of the motor ketch EMERGENCY was historically reported with a mast showing 32 feet above low water and was originally marked by a buoy. Following dispersal efforts in 1959 the site was surveyed as a seabed obstruction with a least depth of 14 feet and a subsequent sweep identifying an obstruction at 7 feet. Extensive hydrographic surveys and sweeping operations conducted in 1960 failed to locate any remaining trace of the vessel suggesting the wreck has since broken up or subsided into the seafloor sand. Current maritime charts indicate the site as cleared and the obstruction removed. The area remains a point of interest for historical wreck data in the Thames Estuary region.

H3094/59 22.3.60 LARGE AREA AROUND WK THOROUGHLY SWEPT ON 4 OCCASIONS BUT NO TRACE FOUND. ASSUMED TO HAVE BROKEN UP OR SUBSIDED INTO SAND. (THV PATRICIA 12.1.60). DELETE. - NM 656/60.
