BUILT IN 1881. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY NORDDEUTSCHER LLOYD. PASSAGE BREMERHAVEN FOR NEW YORK WITH 199 PASSENGERS & 155 CREW. WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION WITH BRITISH SS CRATHIE, APPROX 40M OFF LOWESTOFT DURING A BLIZZARD, THERE WERE ONLY 20 SURVIVORS. (DODS).
