Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck EGLE is an underwater wreck located in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the southeastern coast of Sardinia, Italy, at coordinates 39° 5.058' N, 9° 29.87' E. First recorded in June 1954 following Italian Notices to Mariners, the site was initially charted as a dangerous position-approximate wreck before being updated to a non-dangerous wreck across several Italian nautical charts. Marine survey reports confirm the wreck lies at a seabed depth of 35 meters, with a least depth of 27 meters over the structure. Over time the vessel has collapsed, leaving the bow section standing 7 meters proud of the sea floor while the stern remains relatively complete.
