Simplified Wreck Survey

The shipwreck EDITH CAVELL is historically recorded at coordinates 54 26.511 N, 0 18.104 W, approximately 7.5 miles off the coast of Robin Hoods Bay in the North Sea. Although initially reported as a sunken vessel, subsequent hydrographic surveys conducted in 1997 and 2016 failed to locate any remains of the wreckage. Modern multibeam sonar surveys have officially disproved the existence of the obstruction at this site, and the status of the wreck has been amended to dead in official maritime records.
