Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater wreck and obstruction survey details near the coast of West Africa at coordinates 13 27.017 N, 16 34.317 W. Historical hydrographic records indicate that an obstruction originally reported in 1967 as a collapsed structure dangerous to navigation with no part visible above water was subsequently investigated by echo sounder in 1981, not found, considered disproved, and deleted from official charts as a dead wreck.

H1961/80 27.10.81 DELETED. AREA CLOSELY EXAMINED BY ECHO SOUNDER. NOT FOUND AND CONSIDERED DISPROVED. (HMS HECLA, HI 31. WK 3). AMENDED TO DEAD. - NM 2659/81.
