Sunken shipwreck details for the tug DIRK PETER located offshore Suriname near the Atlantic coast. The wreck position is 6 0.363 N, 55 12.994 W. Originally reported as a sunken tug in November 2015 near the Red Ball Buoy, the position was later updated in November 2016. Salvage operations began in December 2016, and the wreck of the DIRK PETER in Suriname waters was officially confirmed as completely removed and lifted in December 2019 by the Maritieme Autoriteit Suriname.
