The wreck of the Diadem of Bursledon is located in the Solent, near the Horse Sand Fort, at coordinates 50 44.478 N, 1 4.27 W. Identified as an old wooden yacht, the site has been surveyed multiple times since the late 1970s. Historical records describe the vessel as partially buried in a stiff mud bottom, with the stern rising approximately 1.5 to 3 meters above the seabed and the bow sections largely submerged. Recent multibeam surveys confirm a least depth of 26.5 meters in a general surrounding depth of 28 meters. The structure measures approximately 8.6 meters in length and 4.2 meters in width, lying on a 005/185 degree axis. Although the wreck is mostly buried, some evidence of a mast has been noted. The obstruction remains a charted maritime feature of interest within the Solent, with no significant magnetic anomalies recorded. Navigation and diving activities in the vicinity of these coordinates should account for the depth and existing seabed profile.
