Historical hydrographic survey records note that the ship originally sank 50 meters off Piriapolis on November 2, 1983. Subsequent surveys and Argentine Notice to Mariners reports tracked the wreck position, noting it was temporarily marked by a green flashing buoy. The vessel was later refloated by July 1984, and the wreck and marker buoy were subsequently deleted from official charts.
