12.1.1940 BUILT IN 1931 BY BURMEISTER & WAIN. OWNED AT TIME OF LOSS BY DET DANSKE PETROLEUMS A/S. OIL ENGINE, SINGLE SHAFT. PASSAGE ARUBA FOR NYBORG. TORPEDOED BY U-23 ON 12.1.1940 IN INGANESS BAY & SANK 10 DAYS LATER. CARGO 8,200 TONS OF PETROL & 5,760 TONS KEROSENE. THE FORE-PART WAS REFLOATED IN 1941 & TAKEN TO INVERKEITHING TO BE USED AS A STORAGE HULK. (DODS, WW2SL, AXIS SUBMARINE SUCCESSES, OFF SCOTLAND & LL WW2).
