WAS BOMBED & SUNK BY GERMAN AIRCRAFT ABOUT 200M W BY S OF CAPE ST VINCENT. TUGS FAILED TO LOCATE VESSEL, WHICH IS PRESUMED SUNK. CREW OF 26 & 4GUNNERS, 4 CREW & ONE GUNNER WERE KILLED. (LLOYDS WW2SL & DODS).
