TORPEDOED AND SUNK WHILE IN A HOMEWARD BOUND CONVOY FROM GIBRALTAR. 1 MAN LOST. SOME SURVIVORS WERE RESCUED BY 'LAPWING' ONLY TO LOSE THEIR LIVES WHEN SHE WAS SUNK LATER THAT DAY. (DODS).
