Simplified Wreck Survey

Underwater obstruction report for containers lost near coordinates 21 08.79 N, 88 14.13 E located in the Bay of Bengal near the Indian coast. Initial reports from September 2006 identified multiple shipping containers lost at sea, with several initially floating before being classified as an obstruction. By 2010, the obstruction was officially charted as an underwater hazard before being removed from hydrographic records in 2011. This site has been cleared and deleted from official navigation charts following the Indian Notice to Mariners 19/224/11. No physical wreckage, steel structure, or debris remains at these coordinates.
